As you can imagine we are extremely proud to be the only Irish & Scottish based inbound Tour Operator as a supporting partner of the section. It is important to us to develop and maintain the strong relationships we have with the Professionals in this section and help create memorable, bespoke trips for them and their accompanying guests.

If you are a Professional based in the Metropolitan section and would like advice about a future golf trip , please call us on free phone 1-800-414-8519 or email emilee@ttfgolf.com. We would be more than happy to discuss your plans and what we can provide for you and your members.

To celebrate the continued partnership and the re-opening of international travel to Ireland after the pandemic, Travelling the fairways put together an outstanding prize for the top four PGA Assistants in the Player of the Year 2021 race by order of final standings! Here's how they got on...

After reaching the top four PGA Assistant players of the year for 2021, Scott Ford and Dylan Newman won a complimentary trip to Ireland to play some of the best courses Ireland has to offer – Royal Co. Down, Portmarnock Golf Club, The Island and Royal Dublin.

As proud sponsors of the PGA Met Section for over five years, Travelling the Fairways hosted the winners in Dublin in mid-October 2022 who brought along their wives Susan and Carly to share in the experience. The weather forecast for the trip looked ominous but as the luck of the Irish would have it, the clouds cleared, and the stunning views were complimented with clear blue skies.

Royal Co. Down was a particular highlight the duo agreed but felt The Island, with its rugged terrain and towering dunes was underrated, agreeing with one leading UK golf magazine who once commented “The best golf course in Ireland you have never heard of, play it and tell no one”

Following their trip, the winners gave some fantastic feedback, thank you.

“I couldn’t believe how organized and prepared you guys were from pickup at the airport to scheduling an unbelievable four rounds of golf. I had an awesome time and can’t wait to see you guys again! Thank you” - Dylan Newman

“An absolutely fantastic trip, playing some of the best golf courses in the world! Everything was organized and run top notch. Thank you for a wonderful experience.” – Scott Ford

Eilidh Watson, TTF Travel Specialist accompanied the group in Ireland for the duration of the trip and even managed to play alongside Dylan and Scott on all 4 courses. We are thrilled to have hosted the guys in Ireland, and hope that we will see them and their fellow Met Section Professionals very soon.

Travelling the Fairways wishes all PGA Assistant Professionals the very best of luck as this year’s tournament nears an end.
